Mojkovac is a city located in the north of Montenegro, on the right bank of the river Tara, between the mountains Sinjajevina and Bjelasica. The city is famous for the Battle of Mojkovac in 1916th year when the Montenegrin army defeated the superior austrougarska army . Not far from the modern city was located mining village Brskovo where the silver coins minted. Mojkovac is named after the old coins were forged during the King Uros. Of cultural and historical monuments is the most important monastery of Sts. George which is located 25 km from Mojkovac, in Dobrilovina , and at the entrance of Mojkovac, right after the hotel “Palace”, is the temple of Christ’s birth.
