Bukumir lake, until recently, less known by sityzen of Podgorica, and now very popular because of new road, is in Kučka Krajina, some 45 kilometers from Podgorica. Bukumirsko lake by its size falls within the small mountain lakes and surface procedures only 19,320 m². Length is about 210 m and 130 m wide, depth is 17 m. Situated on the slopes Žijevo, more precisely, between Torač, Velji Gozd top and at an altitude of 1440 m. It is about the glacial lake that receives water melting snow, precipitation, and from occasional sources. Environment him and grassy hills, his sandy bottom, the sides is covered with vegetation that  may affect on his disappearance. Because of its depth of the color ranges from bright green in the coastal ring to dark green towards the center. At 5 minutes from Bukumirskog lake behind the hill is a Katun and increase the pool, which is used for power supply of cattle.

The lakes are associated with numerous legends, there are different variations, but most mentioned the dragon who lived in the lake and the people that is afraid, Bukumire. Dragon killed by hot stones, which are inserted into the lake and one  legend says thant there are is attacked by him and destroyed, while another says that it is cursed to be alone with one another slaughter. Well, by legend, they  cemetery is in katun Momonjevo, where you can see stones like thumbs. One less well-known legend says that the causes lakes was thirsty traveler. Passing this end, sat to rest and thought “nice place but there is no water,” he prayed to God for a drop of water and when he woke up that morning he saw the whole lake.
Water in the lake is clean and chilly, and there is a water lily.  It is believed that in the lake still live amphibian Tritorus montenegrinus, in the people known as a blinker. Since the lake takes several marked trails to the tops of the surrounding mountains, next to it can be  camp, and fishermen are frequent visitors.
